Barlonyo rises from grief to a symbol of peace and justice

The Barlonyo massacre on February 21, 2004 was one of the worst attrocities committed by the Lord’s Resistance Army. 121 people are reported to have been slaughtered by the rebels. Eleven years later, the place has risen from the ashes to the world monument site for peace and justice, one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
